We have made available the runners and pointers for scoreboards or marking board to enable people to make their own scoreboard in a size and design according to their own requirement.
There are a variety of options when constructing a scoreboard whether it is for use with snooker, billiards, bar billiards or any other game.
- Normally Snooker scoreboards typically consist of 2 segments - units 0 to 19 and tens. Billiards and Bar Billiards will usually feature a 3 segments - units, tens and hundreds because the scores sometimes go to more than 1000. Therefore, you need 2 pointers per rail for Snooker scoreboards and 3 pointers per rail for Billiards and Bar Billiards.
- Scoreboards are generally made for either 2 players or 4 players.
- Some scoreboards have an additional rail or 2 to show the numbers of games won over the course of a match.
- Dimensions and material of the scoreboard need to be decided - solid Mahogany or Oak is a traditional option but your imagination is the limit.
- Numbers need to be put on to the board. Various methods can be used. We include stickers for our snooker sets but for Billiards and Bar Billiards we suggest buying stickers, transfers or being otherwise creative...

Instructions for installation are as follows:
The installer must first cut the rails to size and then drill holes through the rail so that they can be screwed to the marker board. Usually the screws have a second purpose - to separate the segments of the scoreboards by acting as a stopper for the pointers. So the screw holes must be carefully positioned.
Each rail has a parallelogram profile. Make sure that you fit the pointers before screwing the rail to the board and make sure that the rail has the smaller side in with the board.
Please note screws must be obtained separately - most hardward shops will have something suitable. We recommend round-head brass screws.
